Neck Tapers

The challenge

Neck Tapers is a growing barbershop with two units across a southeast London borough and six chairs between them. Like most independent shops, they were running bookings through a marketplace app (Booksy) where the monthly cost grew with every barber added, and their customers were really the platform's customers, not theirs. On top of that, loyalty was handled in a completely separate app, Magic Stamp, so the shop was juggling two systems that didn't talk to each other. And in the marketplace, the Neck Tapers brand was just one listing sitting among competitors.

What Erdel built

We built Neck Tapers a fully-branded booking and loyalty app, launched under their brand, with their customers, their data and their loyalty relationship fully theirs. Erdel builds, hosts and maintains the underlying app for them. Booking, a digital loyalty and stamp scheme, customer management, reminders, notifications, no-show handling, and both locations are now managed in one place. No second app, no stitched-together tools, just one product that does it all.

The outcome

Everything now runs in one place, and it runs smoothly. Clients no longer see competitors sitting beside the shop. They're booked in with Neck Tapers as their barbers, and the loyalty scheme keeps them coming back. The brand feels more polished and personal, and customers notice it. No more waiting around at the shop (especially in this weather) because everyone arrives on time and leaves with a fresh trim. We believe someone's grooming should feel special to them, so that's what we built: one app, one brand, no complexity.
