Erdel is a small UK studio that designs and builds custom websites, mobile apps, and the operational systems behind them. No templates. No per-seat fees. No scope you didn't ask for.
The shape of every project is different, but it usually falls into one of these. Switch between them to see what we mean.
Bespoke marketing, e-commerce, and content sites, designed to match your brand and engineered to load fast on the phones your customers actually use.
iOS and Android apps for businesses that need more than a booking widget. Built native, launched under your brand, with your customers and your data fully yours. Erdel builds, hosts and maintains the app for you.
Operational tools for the way your team actually works, including schedules, member portals, internal dashboards, and reporting that pulls from the systems you already run.
The plumbing between the tools you already use (payments, accounting, scheduling, marketing) so data moves automatically and nobody copies numbers by hand at the end of the day.
Every project arrives with the same baseline of capabilities, not as add-ons, just as part of the work.
Bespoke isn't only about how it launches. It's about what it costs to keep alive. These four are non-negotiable on every project.
Brand, customers, domain, data, all yours. Erdel builds, hosts and maintains the underlying code so you don't have to think about it. If you ever want to move providers, your brand, your data and your customer relationship come with you.
This matters more than founders usually realise, until it doesn't.
We test on mid-range Android over 4G, not a fibre-connected iPhone Pro. The benchmark is real customers on real networks, because that's who pays you.
Performance budgets are set in discovery and enforced by the build.
WCAG 2.2 AA is the floor, not the goal. Semantic markup, keyboard navigation, sensible contrast, real focus indicators, screen-reader labels, all built in from the first component, not retrofitted before launch.
Server-side rendering, clean URLs, structured data, fast pages, the boring fundamentals that decide whether Google trusts you. We set the technical floor; you bring the words.
Most websites run 6 to 10 weeks from discovery to launch. Native apps land between 10 and 16 weeks depending on platform count and scope. We work in weekly slices, so you see progress every Friday, and nothing happens behind a curtain for a month.
Your brand, your customers, and your customer data are fully yours, exportable any time, with the domain and developer accounts in your name. Erdel retains the underlying source code, frameworks and build methods we use to put it all together, and we license you the right to use the app or site for your business. Specific terms are confirmed in your project agreement. See our Terms & Conditions for the full IP & ownership clause.
They will, and that's normal. Small changes within the agreed scope get absorbed; larger shifts get a short conversation about trade-offs (what comes in, what comes out, what moves to a later phase). No surprise invoices, no scope-creep arguments.
Yes. We host on our infrastructure under a managed monthly fee that covers uptime, monitoring, backups, security updates, and a fair amount of small changes each month. Everything stays in your name, so you can move it any time, but most clients prefer not to.
Fixed price per project, agreed up front, paid in milestones. We don't bill by the hour, because that punishes good engineering. Mobile apps and ongoing platforms also come with a flat monthly hosting + support fee. See booking apps for the headline numbers.
Yes. We work with clients across the UK, Europe, and the US. Discovery is usually a couple of video calls; from there, we work remotely with a weekly review cadence. Site visits are possible for the right project.
Sometimes. We start with a short technical audit before committing. If the existing code is in good shape we'll happily inherit it; if it isn't, we'll be honest about whether refactor or rebuild is the better spend.
